Bicycles and local experiences boost S.C. hotel’s clout

Charleston Place – an independent luxury hotel in historic downtown Charleston, South Carolina – was recently named to Condé Nast Traveler’s “The Best Hotels and Resorts in the World: The Gold List 2024.”

The publication noted the hotel’s fleet of bicycles for guest use, it’s jazz-inspired restaurant and bar area, and the hospitality of the staff as reasons the location has “not a bit of stuffiness” about it.

Family owner commits to sustainable new hotels

Regal Hotels International has partnered with the Ministry of Investment of Saudi Arabia to build 100 hotels, mostly in the Middle East. Regal’s third-generation heir, Powan Lo, says that she will focus on sustainable hotels – an initiative she’s committed to worldwide.
